Saint-Martin-du-Puy is a French municipality with 611 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) (until 2017 Clamecy ) and the canton of Corbigny (until 2015 Lormes ).

Saint-Martin-du-Puy is about 55 kilometers northeast of Nevers . Saint-Martin-du-Puy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-André-en-Morvan in the north and northwest, Chastellux-sur-Cure in the north, Chalaux and Marigny-l'Église in the east, Brassy in the south, Lormes in the south and west as well as Empury to the west and northwest.
