Wednesday 3rd September
- Constantinople / Ottoman Empire : The negotiations on the Treaty of Constantinople , a peace treaty between the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria to settle the Second Balkan War , begin. After four weeks of negotiations, the contract will be signed on September 29th.
- German Empire : The Avro 503 , a double-decker - airplane of the British manufacturer Avro , puts the first aircraft under its pilot Lieutenant Langfeld the route Wilhelmshaven - Helgoland back.
- Saint Petersburg / Russia : Grigorij Nikolaevič Neujmin discovers (762) Pulcova , an asteroid of the main belt , which he names after the Pulkovo observatory. In 2000 , a team of astronomers discovered a small moon orbiting the asteroid every four days.
Thursday 4th September
- Degerloch / German Empire : In the morning Ernst August Wagner kills his wife and four children and continues the mass murder by setting fire to houses in Mühlhausen an der Enz the following night and shooting at those who fled from them. - Chicago / United States Construction work on the Canal Street Railroad Bridge begins. At the time it was the heaviest lift bridge in the United States.
- German Empire : The highest cabinet order (AKO) ordered the formation of seven cavalry units with the name Jäger-Regiment on Horses No. 7 to No. 13 on October 1st.
Sunday September 7th
- Cologne / German Empire : Scheuermann is seriously injured in an accident in a bike race between Richard Scheuermann and world champion Paul Guignard on the Riehl racecourse . The next day he succumbs to his injuries and Guignards' pacemaker , Gus Lawson , is also killed.
Tuesday September 9th
- Helgoland / German Empire : The first marine zeppelin L 1 (hull number LZ 14 ) crashes. The Navy immediately orders another (construction number LZ 18 ) which is equipped with four instead of three engines and thus has better performance data.

- Italy : Thomas J. O'Brien retires as United States Ambassador to Italy . Thomas Nelson Page succeeds him on October 12 of the same year .
Thursday September 18th
- Leipzig / German Empire : The Königin-Luise-Haus opens as an alcohol-free restaurant. Construction began on March 11 of the same year. The house was run by the German Association of Abstinent Women , which belonged to the abstinence movement .
- United States : Congress adopts federal law establishing the Federal Reserve System with 287 votes to 85 to establish a " central banking system designed to add both flexibility and strength to the national financial system ." The next day, on September 19, the Senate also approves with 54 votes to 34.
- Barre / United States: The railway companies are restructuring. The lease between the Barre Railroad and the Montpelier and Wells River Railroad is terminated and the Barre Railroad merges with the East Barre and Chelsea Railroad to form the new Barre and Chelsea Railroad .

- Heidelberg / German Empire : The astronomer Franz Kaiser discovered the asteroids (765) Mattiaca and (764) Gedania . He names these after the Latin names of the cities of Wiesbaden (lat. Mattiacum ) and Danzig (lat. Dantiscum ).
- Jiménez / Mexico : The most important Mexican rebel leaders of the states of Durango and Chihuahua decide to conquer the important railway junction of Torreón in the state of Coahuila . The plan is carried out three days later, on September 29th, and the rebels attack the city under the command of Pancho Villa , leading to the Battle of Torreón .
Saturday September 27th
- German Empire : The captains Hans Feldbausch , Kurt Slevogt , Otto Ciliax , Erich Förste , Otto Backenköhler , Kurt Fricke and Karl Dönitz are promoted to lieutenant at sea . - Austria-Hungary : The association for free psychoanalytic research founded by Alfred Adler is renamed the Association for Individual Psychology at a general assembly in order to distinguish itself from Sigmund Freud and his group.
Monday, September 29th
- Constantinople / Ottoman Empire : The Treaty of Constantinople , a peace treaty between the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria to settle the Second Balkan War , is signed. It is because it is the first peace treaty in over 100 years, through which the Ottoman Empire regains territory that it had previously lost in the war, and also the first treaty whose content comes against the express will of the European great powers.
- Torreón / Mexico : The battle for Torreón begins. The rebels, led by Pancho Villa, try to capture the important railway junction from the armed forces of the Mexican ruler Victoriano Huerta , which they succeed three days later on October 1st.
