history

The former Gutsdorf Rippen was first mentioned in 1340 as Prusteynen . A land prescription from Grand Master Friedrich von Sachsen to Caspar von Hohendorff is documented for 1504, and in the 17th century land areas were merged to form an estate area. In 1654 the councilor and judge from Elbing Paul Freyling acquired the property, which remained in his family until 1704 and then had various owners. Soon after 1740 Rippen came to the Chancellor Friedrich Alexander von Korff , who from 1746 was also the heir to Bledau . The estate came to Karl Friedrich August von der Schulenburg through marriage and then came into the possession of von der Groeben . Due to inheritance disputes, Wilhelm von der Groeben had to sell the estate in 1904 and instead acquired the Juckstein estate in the Ragnit district . The buyer of the Rippen estate, which after all comprised 1013 hectares, was Roderich von Schichau . In 1929 the farm was finally taken over by the East Prussian Landgesellschaft and relocated.

On June 11, 1874, the rural communities (large) Windkeim and Schölen and the manor district became the administrative district of Rippen . In 1908 the estate district Wedderau was added until September 12, 1929, the rural community of Rippen was reclassified to the district of Ludwigsort and the district of Rippen was dissolved. In 1910 only 235 people lived in Rippen, in 1933 there were 551 and in 1939 there were 581. Until 1945 Rippen belonged to the district of Heiligenbeil in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

Since 1945 the place has belonged to the Soviet Union or the Russian Federation and has been called Sovchosnoje since 1947 , derived from Sowchos ("Soviet economy", Soviet form of a state property ). Since about the 1960s the place was the administrative seat of the village soviet Pogranitschny and from 2008 to 2016 the seat of the rural community Pogranitschnoje. After its dissolution, Sovkhoznoye has belonged to the Bagrationovsk district since 2017 .
