The District d'Aigle (dt. District Aigle ) is an administrative unit of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland . It emerged as a district of the canton of Vaud after 1798 from the Bernese office of Aigle .

• January 1, 1852: Lavey VD and Morcles → Lavey-Morcles merged

The district of Aigle is the only district in the canton of Vaud that has exactly the same name even after the major reorganization and consists of the same municipalities as since 1803.The only change - with the territorial redistribution of the canton of Vaud - is the abolition of the following districts at the end of 2007.

By December 31, 2007, the district was divided into the Cercles, Bex, Ollon, Les Ormonts, Aigle and Villeneuve:

• To the Cercle d'Aigle belonged the communities Aigle, Corbeyrier, Leysin, and Yvorne.
• To the Cercle de Bex belonged the communities Bex, Gryon, and Lavey-Morcles.
• To the Cercle des Ormonts belonged the communities Ormont-Dessous and Ormont-Dessus.
• The municipality of Ollon belonged to the Cercle d'Ollon.
• To the Cercle de Villeneuve belonged the communities Chessel, Noville, Rennaz, Roche (VD), and Villeneuve (VD).
