Alexandrowka ( Russian Александровка , German  Posselau ) is a place in the Russian Oblast of Kaliningrad and belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the city district of Zelenogradsk in Zelenogradsk Raion .

Geographical location

Alexandrowka is located 30 kilometers northwest of the city of Kaliningrad (Königsberg) and three kilometers southwest of the Baltic Sea resort Pionerski (Neukuhren) on the municipal road 27K-159 in the section from Pionerski to Juschny (Alexwangen) on the feeder to Primorskoje Kolzo (federal road A 217).

Until 1945 Lixeiden (today Russian: Obuchowo) was the next train station on the Samland Railway , today Pionerski is the next train stop on the Kaliningrad – Svetlogorsk and Kaliningrad – Zelenogradsk – Pionersky railway lines .

history

The village, founded in 1372 and called Posselau until 1947, consisted of several large farms until 1945. In 1874 it was in the newly established District St. Lawrence (Russian Today: Salskoje) incorporated and belonged until 1939 to the district Fischhausen from 1939 to 1945 County Samland in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the Second World War , Posselau came to the Soviet Union with northern East Prussia and was given the Russian name Alexandrowka in 1947.
