Alvito is an Italian commune in the province of Frosinone in the Lazio region with 2586 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is 124 km east of Rome and 43 km east of Frosinone .

geography

Alvito is located on a hill above the Melfa valley. A large part of the municipality belongs to the Abruzzo, Latium and Molise National Park . It is a member of the Comunità Montana Valle di Comino .

The neighboring municipalities are Atina , Campoli Appennino , Casalvieri , Gallinaro , Pescasseroli ( AQ ), Posta Fibreno , San Donato Val di Comino and Vicalvi .
