Auriac is a French municipality with 229 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The inhabitants call themselves Auriacois (es).

geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central in the Xaintrie around two kilometers south of the Dordogne and is surrounded by extensive forests. Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is located around 45 kilometers to the northwest and Argentat 25 kilometers to the southwest and Aurillac im Cantal about 50 kilometers to the southeast.

Auriac's neighboring municipalities are Laval-sur-Luzège in the north, Soursac in the northeast, Rilhac-Xaintrie in the east, Saint-Julien-aux-Bois in the south, Saint-Privat in the southwest, Darazac and Bassignac-le-Haut in the west and Saint- Merd-de-Lapleau in the northwest.
