The 2015/16 season of the B-Junioren-Bundesliga was the ninth season of the B-Junioren-Bundesliga .
As in the previous eight seasons, it was played in the North / Northeast, South / Southwest and West seasons. At the end of the season, the three season winners and the runner-up in the West season played for the German B-Youth Championship . The semi-finals were played in a two-way leg, the final in one game. The three last-placed teams of the three seasons relegated to the subordinate leagues.
Borussia Dortmund started the season as the reigning German champions . Bayer 04 Leverkusen was the German B junior champion .

As runner-up in the B-Youth Regionalliga Nord of the previous season, VfL Osnabrück took part as a direct qualifier, as the SV Werder Bremen second team, which was not eligible for promotion, was placed in front of them. The 1. FC Union Berlin was master of the Regional Northeast, an increase directly. In the relegation for the third promotion place, VfB Lübeck (fifth in the Regionalliga Nord behind the second teams from Hamburger SV and VfL Wolfsburg who were not eligible for promotion) and Dynamo Dresden competed as runner-up in the Northeast relay. Dresden clearly prevailed (5: 0, 1: 1) and will play in the Bundesliga in the 2015/16 season.

From the subordinate leagues, FC Hennef 05 rose as a representative of the B-Jugend-Verbandsliga Mittelrhein, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen as a representative of the B-Jugend-Verbandsliga Niederrhein and the Sportfreunde Siegen from the B-Jugend-Verbandsliga Westfalen in the B-Juniors Bundesliga on. Siegen took as third place far behind the not eligible second teams from Dortmund and Schalke exercised his right to promotion.

As direct climbers from the subordinate leagues, FC Augsburg came from the B-Youth Bayern League and the Stuttgarter Kickers from the B-Youth Upper League Baden-Württemberg in the B-Junior Bundesliga. The promotion aspirants of the B-Jugend-Regionalliga Südwest and the B-Jugend-Oberliga Hessen played the second promoted player in a relegation . The Südwest representative SV 07 Elversberg prevailed against Kickers Offenbach in a dramatic relegation and was promoted to the Bundesliga. While the first leg ended 3: 3 in Elversberg, the players in the second leg had to go into extra time. Only in the penultimate minute of the game did Elversberg take the lead through a set piece and was the happy winner in the end.
