Darfo Boario Terme is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Brescia in Lombardy . It is the largest town in Val Camonica . In 1968 the place was given the title Città by presidential decree.

In Darfo the Dezzo flows into the Oglio .

Districts are Angone, Erbanno, Gorzone and Montecchio.

The fortress of Castello di Montecchio in the Montecchio district was of great importance in the High Middle Ages because of its location. In the course of time, however, this meaning withered more and more. The remains are just overgrown ruins.

Darfo Boario Terme is crossed by Strada Statale 42, which leads from Bergamo into the Alps towards Bolzano . Two train stations ( Darfo-Corna and Boario Terme ) are on the Brescia – Iseo – Edolo line .
