Falleron is a French commune with 1,598 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Vendée department in the southwest of the Pays de la Loire region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of La Roche-sur-Yon and the canton of Challans (until 2015: canton Palluau ). The inhabitants are called Falleronnais .

location

Falleron is about 31 kilometers northwest of La Roche-sur-Yon . The Falleron river of the same name rises here . Falleron is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Touvois in the north, Grand'Landes in the east, Saint-Paul-Mont-Penit in the south-east, Saint-Christophe-du-Ligneron in the south and south-west and Froidfond in the west.

The former route nationale 754 (today's D753) runs through the municipality .
