Baron Hughes "Hugh" de Fierlant , also Hugues de Fierlant , (born December 19, 1942 in Freux ) is a former Belgian racing driver .

Career

Hugh de Fierlant was active and successful in touring and sports car racing in the 1970s . Along with Jean Xhenceval and Pierre Dieudonné, he belonged to the Belgian triumvirate, which celebrated successes in the European Touring Car Championship , especially with racing cars from BMW . In 1976 the trio won the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race . The Belgian also competed seven times in the Le Mans 24-hour race . He made his debut in 1970 in the Ferrari 512S of the Ecurie Francorchamps. His fifth place overall remained his best place in this endurance race.
