Klaus Piontek
Klaus Piontek (born February 28, 1935 in Trebnitz , † June 22, 1998 in Berlin ) was a German actor .
Life
Klaus Piontek was already active as a speaker child when he was at school. That was in the radio play studio of what was then Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk in Leipzig. Piontek studied acting at the Leipzig Theater Academy from 1953 to 1956 and finally came to the Deutsche Theater Berlin in 1962 via stage stops in Halberstadt and the Dresden State Theater . As an ensemble member of the Deutsches Theater, to which he belonged until his death, he shaped the appearance of stage actors for 36 years. Thomas Langhoff praised him as one of the "outstanding representatives of his profession". Benno Besson loved Piontek's ability to carefully characterize a character from the inside.
In addition to his theater work, Piontek also worked as a film and television actor (for DEFA , television of the GDR ) from 1962 , but without committing to a particular genre. In addition to crime novels, period films and fairy tales, he was mainly known for his involvement in contemporary films. With his distinctive voice he was also active as a dubbing actor (e.g. George Kennedy in Die nackte Kanone 2 + 3) and speaker in various radio plays, not least for children.
Piontek died in 1998, at the age of 63, of complications from cancer . He was at the Berlin French cemetery I buried.
