L'Isle-Jourdain is a French commune with 1,163 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Montmorillon and the canton of Lussac-les-Châteaux (until 2015: canton of L'Isle-Jourdain ). The inhabitants are called Lislois .

L'Isle-Jourdain is about 46 kilometers south-east of Poitiers on the Vienne . L'Isle-Jourdain is surrounded by the neighboring communities Moussac in the north, Adriers in the east and northeast, Mouterre-sur-Blourde in the east and southeast, Millac in the south and Le Vigeant in the west.
