- Julianische Brücke St ( Pont Julien ), Roman road bridge at an ancient intersection on the Via Domitia about five kilometers north of Bonnieux ( Vaucluse department )
Note: The nine-arched Roman road bridge in the Var department over the Verdon river has been flooded by the Lac de Sainte-Croix reservoir since 1973 .
Golan Heights
- Tubular bridge, Roman road bridge over the Hazbani River (Jordan Spring River ) on the old road between Tire and Damascus 3 km south of the village of Ghajar
- Stone bridge from Roman times at the confluence of the Govta and the Banyas (Jordan spring river ) in the area of the ancient Caesarea Philippi (right next to a modern bridge that belongs to the road to Kirjat Schmona )
Greece
- Bridge of Arta St , legendary stone bridge dating from antiquity (although it was renovated in Ottoman times) over the Arachthos in Epirus on the road between Preveza and Ioannina
- Plaka St Bridge, Plaka Stone Bridge, Tzoumerka Region, Epirus, Greece. Built in 1866. Border between Greece and the Ottoman Empire from 1880 to 1912 (collapsed February 2015).
- Eleutherna Bridge , Hellenistic cantilever arch bridge in Crete
- Bridges of Arkadikó St ( Peloponnese ), three Mycenaean road bridges from the Bronze Age , most likely from the 13th century BC. (Estimates vary between the 11th and 14th centuries BC), the most important of which is the Kazarma Bridge (length 22 m, width 5.6 m, height 4 m). It is the oldest surviving bridge in Europe and most likely in the world
- Ancient stone bridge at the southern exit of the Samaria Gorge near the ancient city of Tarrha in Crete
- Ancient bridge on the Greek island of Andros directly on the rocky coast (ruin, arch preserved)
- Bridge near Karitena , five-arched Franconian bridge over the Alfios river , originally from the 13th century, in its current form since 1441, partly preserved in its original form (two arches destroyed and replaced by a wooden bridge), 50 m long and 12 m high. Shrouded in legend, as is the Arta Bridge, with a similar myth about its construction
Great Britain
- Tarr Steps St , bridge over the River Barle at Winsford in the English county of Somerset , most closely related to medieval construction.
Note: In 2003, the remains of a long-collapsed Roman bridge, originally around 10 meters high, were recovered from the bed of the Tyne in Northumberland , probably built during the reoccupation of Hadrian's Wall (around 164 AD).

- Alconétar Bridge , also over the Tagus, probably built by Apollodoris of Damascus at the beginning of the 2nd century, is one of the oldest stone segment arch bridges in the world.
- Bridge of La Bisbal d'Empordà St in Catalonia, Roman road bridge over the Ampurdan river
- Merida St bridge over the Albarregas river, road bridge near the city's aqueduct
- Bridge of Mérida St over the Guadiana river , partially renovated in the 17th century, longest surviving Roman road bridge in the world
- Salamanca St Bridge , Roman road bridge over the Tormes River
- La Puente, Roman road bridge over the Andarax river in the village of Alhama de Almería
