The Metal Ox ( Xinchou ( Chinese 辛丑, pinyin xīnchǒu )) is the 38th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are connected by a connection between the eighth heavenly stem (辛, xīn , element metal and yīn ) and the second earthly branch (丑, chǒu ), symbolized by the ox (牛, niú), are characterized.
