Neudorf (colloquially: Naidorf ) is a district of the independent city of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located on the Onolzbach , a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat . Two nameless streams flow there as right tributaries of the Onolzbach. Approx. The Rote Berg rises 0.5 km to the west, the Schloßbuck ( 498  m above sea level ) approx. 0.5 km to the south , and the Neudorfer Mühlranken to the east .

Communal roads lead to Dornberg (1.2 km south), to Steinersdorf (1 km east) and to another communal road (1.7 km south-west) that leads to Tiefenthal (0.8 km north-west) or to Lengenfeld to state road 2246 ( 1.3 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1274 as "Niwendorf". The name indicates the place as a late settlement. It is possible that the Lords of Dornberg founded the village from their nearby castle.

In the 16-point report of the Principality of Ansbach from 1684, 16 teams were recorded for Neudorf. All properties had the Hofkastenamt Ansbach as the landlord (one mill, five farms, one Köblersgut , eight estates, one estate). There was also a communal shepherd's house. The high court and the village and community authority exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbachische Hofkastenamt Ansbach.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 18 properties in Neudorf with the Neudorfer Mühle and the Walkmühle (1 courtyard, 6 half courtyards, 9 Sölden estates , 2 mills). The court office of Ansbach continued to exercise the high court, the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties. In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, breaker's house ). There were 17 subject families at that time. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Neudorf was assigned to the Schalkhausen tax district, formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Schalkhausen founded in 1811 . This was incorporated into the city of Ansbach on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .
