Rahm is a district in the west of Dortmund .
history
In a document issued by Abbess Berta von Arnsberg in 1267 , the place Rahm, then still called Rodehem, is mentioned for the first time.
The growth of the until then exclusively agricultural place began in 1796 with the establishment of the Bergmann Brewery .
The successful test drillings carried out in the years 1854–1856 led to the merger of several Rahmer mines in 1856 . With the opening of the Emschertal Railway by the Cologne-Minden Railway in 1878, the industrial age finally arrived in Rahm.
On June 10, 1914, Rahm was incorporated into Dortmund.

The Dortmund-Rahm stop is located in Dortmund-Rahm on the Dortmund – Herne line on the Emschertal Railway ( RB 43 ). It runs once an hour between Dortmund and Dorsten via Castrop-Rauxel Süd, Wanne-Eickel , Gelsenkirchen-Buer Süd and Gladbeck . Dortmund-Rahm is connected to the federal trunk road network
via the Dortmund-Hafen junction of the federal motorway 45 .
