Location of the municipality of Tissa in the Saale-Holzland district

Tissa is a municipality in the south of the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia and part of the Hügelland / Täler administrative community . In addition to Tissa, the hamlet of Ulrichswalde is also part of the municipality.

Tissa is located south of Stadtroda in the hill country of the Saale-Ilm-Platte on lighter soils. The federal motorways 9 and 4 and the train station in Stadtroda are easily accessible.

history

The place was first mentioned on December 24, 1358. The farmers of the village, which belonged to the Soviet occupation zone from 1945 and to the GDR from 1949, had to follow the path of collectivization of their farms from 1952 . After the fall of the Wall , one farmer ran an organic farm and the other a dairy farm. There are well-preserved and restored half-timbered buildings in the village .
