West Indies cricket team in New Zealand for the 2008-09 season

The West Indies cricket team's tour to New Zealand in the 2008-09 season took place from December 5, 2008 to January 13, 2009. The international cricket tour was part of the 2008/09 international cricket season and included two test matches , five ODIs and two Twenty20s . New Zealand won the ODI series 2–1, the test series went 0–0 and the Twenty20 series 1–1.

prehistory

New Zealand last played a tour in Australia , the West Indies against Pakistan . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2005/06 season in New Zealand .
