Băgaciu ( German  Bogeschdorf , Såksesch Bogeschdref , Hungarian Szászbogács or Bogács ) is a municipality in Transylvania in the Mureș County , Romania .

history

Bogeschdorf was originally founded around 1300 by the Transylvanian Saxons on Adelsboden , but then, together with the neighboring villages of the Mediasch chair , gained the Sibiu law and thus became a free municipality of the Königsboden . The first written mention comes from the year 1359.

  2. At the meeting of the Medias chair on February 1, 1359, which dealt with a Hattert dispute between Wölz and Baaßen , Comes Salamon et omnes seniores de Bogacs was named.

The "Comes Salomon de Bogacs" takes part in a meeting of the Medias chair in Transylvania (Ub-II-743-157). On March 20, 1408, Elisabeth Countess von Bogendorf, wife of Count Nikolaus von Bogendorf, appeared as a plaintiff before the Transylvanian-Saxon state parliament in Thorenburg. In this document Nikolaus (“Nicolaus de Bogath”) is named as the son of Count Salomon von Bogendorf, who in turn is named as the son of Count Arnold von Bogendorf (married to Katharina von Bethlen). The legal dispute relates to shares in the possession of noble estates belonging to those von Bethlen (Ub-I-1609-452). Nikolaus Zarz von Bogendorf (“Comes Nicolaus Zarz de Bogach”), son of the above. Count Nikolaus, is mentioned in a document in 1449 in the south of Transylvania. In the village of Gürteln, he testifies to a purchase agreement between the brothers Peter, Michael and Stefan von Gürteln (“Petrus et Michael filii Stephanie filius Michaelis de Gerdal”) for several smaller towns (Ub-V-2383-59).
