The 2010/11 season was the 21st season of the women's Bundesliga . The season began on August 15, 2010 and ended on March 13, 2011. With the early end of the season, the DFB wanted to give the German national team sufficient time to prepare for the 2011 World Cup in Germany . In the period from April 23 to May 22, 2011, the clubs played the Bundesliga Cup .
German champion was defending champion 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam with one point ahead of 1. FFC Frankfurt . For Potsdam it was the third championship title in a row and the fifth all-German championship ever. 1. FC Saarbrücken and Herford SV had to relegate .
