^ Regionalliga Nordost 2015/16

The 2015/16 season of the Oberliga Nordost was the 25th season of the Oberliga Nordost and the eighth as the fifth highest division in Germany. It began on August 14, 2015 in the North Season with the game between SV Victoria Seelow and Hertha Zehlendorf and in the South with the game between FSV Barleben and Inter Leipzig and ended on June 12, 2016.

Attendees

A total of 32 clubs, spread over two seasons (north and south), will participate in the 2015/16 season. The exact graduation was made by the NOFV on June 12, 2015. The following clubs have qualified in terms of sport:

CFC Hertha 06, Victoria Seelow and Inter Leipzig benefited from various withdrawals and cancellations at the end of last season; According to the regulations, in this case further promoted members of the state associations with the largest number of members moved up until the target strength of 16 teams per relay was reached.

Promotion and relegation regulation

The champions of the two league seasons are entitled to promotion to the Regionalliga Nordost.

Since no club from the Thuringian League has reported for the Oberliga 2016/17 , the number of relegated teams will be reduced at the end of this season according to an addition to the promotion and relegation regulation decided by the NOFV. With the promotion of FSV Zwickau to the 3rd league in 2016/17 and the consequent remaining of FSV 63 Luckenwalde in the regional league, five teams left the league for the regional associations.

North season

Venues of the Oberliga Nordost 2015/16 (North Season)

At the end of the 2014/15 season, FSV Optik Rathenow and FC Schönberg 95 made it directly to the Regionalliga Nordost, while FSV 63 Luckenwalde prevailed against SSV Markranstädt from the south in the promotion games of the third-placed teams . While Rathenow is returning to the regional league after just one year, Schönberg and Luckenwalde will compete in this division for the first time.

The SV Waren 09 and FC Pomerania Greifswald withdrew voluntarily from the league. While Waren preferred to only play in the eighth league in the 2015/16 season (state class Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) for financial reasons, Pommern Greifswald merged with Greifswalder SV 04 to form the new club Greifswalder FC , which is part of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Association League occurs.

Five of the nine promoted members of the North Staffel were assigned from the regional associations. Tennis Borussia Berlin returned from the Berlin-Liga to the Oberliga Nordost after four years, while the second promoted CFC Hertha 06, like TeBe also based in Charlottenburg , had never played in a national division before. After two years in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Association League, FC Anker Wismar is starting another attempt in the Oberliga. The champions of the Brandenburg League 1. FC Frankfurt had a somewhat longer dry spell behind them; its predecessor club Frankfurter FC Viktoria, once known in the GDR league under the name FC Vorwärts Frankfurt, was last represented in the league in the 2003/04 season . Brandenburg runner-up SV Victoria Seelow, on the other hand, is celebrating its national premiere just like CFC Hertha.

Venues of the Oberliga Nordost 2015/16 (Season South)

In the previous year, 2014/15 , RB Leipzig II and FC Oberlausitz Neugersdorf made their first promotion to the regional league , with the second team from RB Leipzig making it straight out of the Sachsenliga . The second teams from FC Erzgebirge Aue , Chemnitzer FC and Dynamo Dresden were disbanded at the end of the preseason. There was no athletic relegation from the league.

VFC Plauen was added from the Regionalliga Nordost. The relegation of the club from Vogtland was already certain some time before the end of the season due to an application for insolvency during the winter break. Conversely, four clubs made it out of the state associations. Sachsenliga champion Bischofswerdaer FV is returning to the league for the first time since the 2000/01 season . In Gera , 1. SV Gera, one of the predecessors of the Thuringian league promoted BSG Wismut, had completed its last season in the upper league in 1999/2000 . The other two clubs, Saxony runner-up Inter Leipzig and FSV Barleben, the title holder of the Association League Saxony-Anhalt, are making their first league debut.
