Golden Beach is a city in Miami-Dade County in the US state of Florida with 919 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
The city is located between the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean , about 15 km north of Miami. Neighboring communities are Sunny Isles Beach and Aventura (Miami-Dade) and Hallandale Beach ( Broward ).
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 919 inhabitants were distributed over 355 households. The population density was 1021.1 inh / km². 97.8% of the population identified themselves as white , 1.7% as African American and 0.3% as Asian Americans . 0.1% said they belonged to another ethnic group. 26.2% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 30% of all households lived in 43.6% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 82.2% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 3.20 and the average family size was 3.51.
31.2% of the population were younger than 20 years, 16.0% were 20 to 39 years old, 34.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 17.9% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 42 years. 49.8% of the population were male and 50.2% were female.
The median annual income was $ 151,875, with 12.4% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 55.00% of the population, 35.09% spoke Spanish and 9.91% had another mother tongue.
