Hagaste

Hagaste (German Hagane ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality Hiiumaa (until 2017: rural municipality Pühalepa ). It is located on the second largest Estonian island Hiiumaa (German Dagö ), directly on the Baltic coast . From Hagaste there is a wide view of the Väinameri archipelago .

The place is located 15 kilometers southeast of the island's capital Kärdla ( Kertel ).
Hagaste has ten residents today (as of December 31, 2011). The area of the village is 2.9 square kilometers.
The historic Hagaste windmill and the adjacent old warehouse are well worth seeing.
