Jõesuu is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality Hiiumaa (2013 to 2017: rural municipality Hiiu , before that rural municipality Kõrgessaare ) on the second largest Estonian island Hiiumaa (German Dagö ).

Description and history

Jõesuu has three residents (as of December 31, 2011). The place is twelve kilometers from the village of Emmaste .

To the southwest of the village center, the Vanajõgi river flows into the Baltic Sea after a glacial valley , the Vanajõe org . In late autumn the sea ​​trout spawn in the clear water of the river . The area has been a nature reserve since 1962.
