Suureranna is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality Hiiumaa (2013 to 2017: rural municipality Hiiu , before that rural municipality Kõrgessaare ) on the second largest Estonian island Hiiumaa (German Dagö ).

Suureranna has fourteen residents (as of December 31, 2011).

The place is located in the southeast of the Kõpu peninsula ( Kõpu poolsaar ) directly on the Baltic Sea . The fine sandy beach extends gently into the sea.

To the east of the village is the 247.4 hectare protected area Suureranna ( Suureranna hoiuala ). It was launched in 2007 to protect the fragile flora on Hiiumaa's west coast.
