Haldreka is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Hiiumaa (until 2017: rural municipality Emmaste ). It is located on the second largest Estonian island Hiiumaa (German Dagö ).

Description and history

The village is located on the Haldreka peninsula ( Haldreka poolsaar ) on the Baltic Sea .

In 1977 it lost its status as an independent village and then belonged to the locality of Kaderna for twenty years . In 1997 the village of Haldreka was restored as an independent administrative unit.

Today Haldreka has only 2 residents (as of December 31, 2011).
