Jausa is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality Hiiumaa (until 2017: rural municipality Emmaste ). It is located on the second largest Estonian island Hiiumaa (German Dagö ).

Jausa (German snack ) has 92 inhabitants today (as of December 31, 2011).

The village is located directly on the Baltic Sea beach . The streams Luguse jõgi and Jausa oja flow into the little book of Jausa ( Jausa laht ) . The latter is known for its crayfish .

Jausa was first mentioned in a document in the second half of the 16th century. In the past the port was used for the export of potatoes and wood.

The most famous son of the place is the Estonian writer Herman Sergo (1911–1989). He was born in Jausa and attended elementary school there. Sergo has in his literary work numerous substances Hiiumaa literary processed.
