Spessart coat of arms
Blazon : “By a black and silver wavy bar diagonally left divided by silver and green, at the top two floating bar crosses touching one another diagonally to the left, red and black, at the bottom growing from the shield edge four silver hexagonal columns staggered to the left, the fourth slightly smaller than the third. "
Justification for the coat of arms: The two, red and black, crosses in silver stand for the centuries-long association of Spessart with Kurtrier (red) and Kurköln (black), the wavy bar symbolizes the Brohlbach, and the hexagonal columns the “Hannebacher Ley” quarry; the color green stands for the abundance of forests and meadows.
