The Hello Katy Tour was the first global tour of the US pop - singer Katy Perry . The tour promoted Perry's first studio album, One of the Boys . From January to November 2009 it led through North America , Europe , Asia and Australia . A total of 89 concerts were given.

In November 2008, following the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards , which she hosted, Perry announced the tour. In an interview with Billboard , Perry said:

"I have the guy who creates stages for Madonna working on this tour, I'm indulging my obsession with fruit and cats and designing all different outfits."
