The tour of the Indian national cricket team to the West Indies in the season 1988/89 took place from March 7 to May 3, 1989. The international cricket tour was part of the 1988/89 international cricket season and included four tests and five ODIs . The West Indies won the Test Series 3–0 and the ODI Series 5–0.

The West Indies previously played a three-nation tournament in Australia , India a tour against New Zealand . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1987/88 season in India .
