Storoschewoje ( Russian Сторожевое , German  Försterei Katzkeim ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad . It belongs to the local government unit Stadtkreis Selenogradsk in Zelenogradsky District . In addition to the forestry department, Storoschewoje also includes the former Birkenhof near Alt Katzkeim.

Geographical location

Storoschewoje is 36 kilometers northwest of the Oblast capital Kaliningrad (Königsberg) . The place can be reached on a side road that leads east from Jantarowka (Wangnicken) on the regional road 27A-013 (ex A192 ) to the east to Storoschewoje and ends in Barkassowo (Alt Katzkeim) . There is no train connection.

From 2005 to 2015 Storoschewoje belonged to the rural municipality of Krasnotorovskoye selskoje posselenije and since then to the city district of Zelenogradsk.
