The shooting club Perg states 1668 as the year it was founded, making it the oldest Perg club. Official entries can be found on January 1st, 1879 and on March 28th, 1900 as well as after the Second World War from 1953. Adolf Dollinger acted as chief rifle master (= chairman) from 1924 to 1951, as the association was and was not forbidden during the World War was active. Since then, further chairmen have been Josef Manner jun. (1953 to 1958), Rudolf Kling sen. (1958 to 1962), Ing.Karl Manner (1962 to 1994), Rudolf Kling jun. (1994 to 2000), Josef Irsiegler (2000 to 2019) and Erich Eder has been chairman since 2019.

  • Karl Pissenberger (shooting), bronze medal at the European Crossbow Championships (1971, 1975), Austrian champion in Upper Austria. KK team (1989), two gold medals as senior at the 1991 KK state championship
  • Alfred Schützeneder (fistball) was appointed to the Austrian national fistball team in 1965 and 1966
  • Martin Spindlberger (shooting sport), two-time national champion with the air rifle and with the 10-meter crossbow (1990), bronze medal in the junior class as a young shooter at the European Crossbow Championship (1990), team silver medal at the European Air Rifle Championship (1994) and junior vice world champion in the team at the air rifle world championship (1994), gold medal and thus European champion in the team competition in the junior class 10 m at the European crossbow championship (1994)
  • Hartmut Wahl (* 1975), (shooting sport), Austrian champion among the young shooters with the air rifle with a new Austrian record (1992), junior vice world champion in the team at the crossbow world championship (1993), 1st place and unofficial world record with the air rifle at the international competition in Munich (1994), bronze medal as a junior and silver medal in the team at the European air rifle championship (1994), junior vice world champion alone and in the team at the air rifle world championship (1994), gold medal and thus European champion in the team competition in the junior class 10 m at the European Crossbow Championship (1994), silver medal at the European Crossbow Championship 10 m (1994), records in the combination standing and kneeling, a total of 11 medals at the European Championship and World Championship within one year
  • Richard Wollhofen (shooting sport), 2nd place at the Crossbow European Cup (2000), 1st place at the Crossbow State Championship in both positions over 30 m and in the combination (2003), bronze medal at the Junior World Championship (2003), 1st place at the Crossbow European Cup in the junior class standing at 30 m (2006), gold medal alone and in the team at the Crossbow State Championship (2006), junior vice world champion in the combination at the Crossbow World Championship (2006), Bronze medal at 10 and 30 m and team bronze at the Crossbow World Championship (2008).
