Mšené-lázně (German Mscheno ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eleven kilometers southwest of Roudnice nad Labem and belongs to the Okres Litoměřice .

geography

The village is located on the Bohemian Table in the Mšenský potok basin. State road 118 between Slaný and Budyně nad Ohří runs through the village

Neighboring towns are Roudníček and Budyně nad Ohří in the north, Pohořice and Martiněves in the northeast, Charvatce in the east, Radešín, Vrbice and Loucká in the south, Podolí and Ředhošť in the southwest, Podbradec in the west and Brníkov and Kostelec nad Ohří in the northwest.

history

Mšené was first mentioned in a document together with Podolí in 1262. The owner at that time was Puta, known as Petřík von Riesenberg . His descendants, who called themselves z Mšeneho , held the place until 1362. a. from 1430 to 1451 and 1553 to 1607 the Zajíc von Hasenburg and in between from 1453 to 1538 Botho and Wilhelm von Ileburg .

Main building of the spa

In 1745 the Counts Kinsky acquired Countess Desfours Mscheno from Polyxena . After František Pavikovský, the director of the manorial estates of Prince Ulrich Kinsky , who was on an inspection trip, brought relief from his stomach problems, Pavikovský advocated the establishment of a spa. In 1796, Prince Kinsky approved the construction of a bath.

At the beginning of the 20th century the landowner František Toman had the baths reconstructed. In addition to the main building built in 1797, which is now called Říp, there are also the bathhouses Praděd (built in 1797), Slovanka (built in 1797 and rebuilt in 1903), Dvorana (built in 1905 by Jan Letzel ), Kyselka (built in 1907), Vítkov (built 1913) and Blaník (built between 1995 and 1999).

The municipality Mšené-lázně consists of the districts Brníkov ( Bernikau ) Ječovice ( Jetschowitz even Gieschewitz , Jeschowitz , Jetssowitz ) Mšené-lázně ( Mscheno ) Podbradec ( Podbratetz even Pobratz , Pobratetz ) Ředhošť ( Redhoscht even Redgosch , Redohosch , Redhost ) and Vrbice ( Wirbitz ), which also form cadastral districts. Basic settlement units are Bohdal ( Gottesgab ), Brníkov, Ječovice, Loucká ( Lautzka ), Mšené-lázně, Podbradec, Ředhošť and Vrbice. Mšené-lázně also includes the settlement Podolí ( Podol , also Podole ).
