The Central German Football Championship 1913/14 of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs (VMBV) was the 13th season of the Central German Football Championship . This year's championship was held again in numerous regional Gauligen, the winners of which met in a knockout round . With a 2-1 win over the defending champions VfB Leipzig , SpVgg 1899 Leipzig-Lindenau won the Central German soccer championship for the second time and qualified for the German soccer championship 1913/14 , in which Leipzig after a 2-1 defeat by SpVgg Fürth was eliminated in the first round. The VfB Leipzig was qualified as defending also for this year's German football championship. After victories over SV Prussia-Samland Königsberg and Berlin BC , the club reached the final, which was also lost against SpVgg Fürth.

On the 28th day of the association on February 13 and 14, 1914, it was announced that the association had 433 associations with 27,615 people. In the 1913/14 season, the clubs were divided into 23 districts (Gaue), the winners of which played the central German soccer championship together with the defending champion. After expressions of displeasure by some districts about the mode of execution last year, this year's final was again played in a knockout round .

The Gau Altmark did not report its master in time. The Gau Kyffhäuser did not name a champion this season after a protest was lodged against the valuation of the play-off because of a tie. The Gaue Wartburg and Grafschaft Mansfeld have been added, although the Gau Wartburg has not yet been played regularly.

Gau Wartburg

In mid-November 1913, the western part of the Northern Thuringia Gau was separated and assigned to the newly founded Gau Wartburg. The Wartburg-Gau was finally founded on May 10, 1914 in Gotha , a spring championship was held, the results of this round have not been recorded. The Gaumeister has not yet qualified for the Central German football final.

Gau Kyffhauser

The game BSC 07 Sangerhausen against SC Schwarzburg-Sondershausen was rated as a goalless defeat for both teams. Since after the end of the round Prussia Nordhausen and Wacker-Mars Neuhausen were tied, a decider was necessary. The game played on March 22, 1914, Wacker-Mars won 5-1. At this point in time, the participant's registration for the Central German soccer championship had expired, as the first round there began on the same day. In July 1914, however, the playoff was rated for Prussia Nordhausen , as Wacker-Mars had used an ineligible player. Wacker-Mars protested against this , so a replay was scheduled for November 1, 1914. This game could be won by Prussia 3-2, against which Wacker-Mars protested again, but withdrew this protest in the Gau committee meeting on January 30, 1915. On this day, the request from Prussia Nordhausen was granted not to name a master for this season.
