Rimbach-près-Masevaux (German Rimbach bei Masmünster ) is a French commune with 464 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Thann-Guebwiller , the canton Masevaux and the municipality association Vallée de la Doller et Soultzbach, founded in 2001 .
geography
The municipality of Rimbach-près-Masevaux is located in the south-eastern Vosges . The municipal area belonging to the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park comprises a section of the Seebach valley including the side valleys. The Seebach flows into the Doller in the neighboring municipality of Oberbruck to the south . The only road that can be used all year round leads from Oberbruck in the Dollertal to Rimbach-près-Masevaux. The heights surrounding Rimbach are partly over 1000 m above sea level ( Rossberg 1191 m, Stiftkopf 1054 m, Tête des Perches 1222 m). The latter summit is part of the Vosges ridge, which leads to the Vosges department .
The district of Ermensbach in the Neuweiherbachtal belongs to Rimbach .
Rimbach's neighboring communities are Storckensohn and Mollau in the north, Mitzach and Moosch in the northeast, Wegscheid in the southeast, Oberbruck in the south and Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle in the northwest.
