Oberbruck is a French commune with 393 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin département in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Thann-Guebwiller , the canton Masevaux and the municipality association Vallée de la Doller et Soultzbach, founded in 2001 .

geography

The municipality of Oberbruck is located in the southeastern Vosges . The municipal area belonging to the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park comprises the lower Seebach valley and part of the Dollertal valley . The Doller forms the southern border of the municipality. In the extreme north-west of the municipality the Vosges ridge is reached, which leads to the Vosges department . Oberbruck is surrounded by striking mountains: in the north by the summit of the Tête des Perches (1222 m), in the west by the Alsatian Belchen (1247 m) and in the south by the 1074 m high Baerenkopf .

Neighboring municipalities of Oberbruck are Rimbach-près-Masevaux in the north, Wegscheid in the east, Kirchberg in the south (point of contact), Dolleren in the west and Sewen and Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle in the northwest.
