Dolleren (German Dollern ) is a French commune with 475 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Thann-Guebwiller , the canton Masevaux and the municipality association Vallée de la Doller et Soultzbach, founded in 2001 .
geography
The municipality of Dolleren is located in the upper Dollertal in the southeastern Vosges . The summit of the 1247 m high Ballon d'Alsace (Alsace Belchen) rises seven kilometers west of Dolleren. The municipality of Dolleren, which borders the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in the south, is part of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park . The highest point of the municipality is the northern part of the Baerenkopf (1074 m).
Neighboring communities of Dolleren are Oberbruck in the north and northeast, Wegscheid in the east (point of contact), Kirchberg in the southeast, Lamadeleine-Val-des-Anges in the south, Riervescemont in the southwest and Sewen in the west.
history
From 1871 to the end of the First World War , Dolleren belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the district of Thann in the district of Upper Alsace .
