Le Haut Soultzbach is a French commune with 903 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013) in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thann-Guebwiller and the canton of Masevaux . The municipality is also part of the Vallée de la Doller et du Soultzbach municipal association founded in 2001 .
The municipality was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle through the union of the previous municipalities of Mortzwiller and Soppe-le-Haut . The town hall (Mairie) of the new municipality is located in the building of the previous town hall of Mortzwiller.
geography
Le Haut Soultzbach, on Soultzbach , is located in Sundgau around 23 kilometers west of Mulhouse in the south of the Haut-Rhin department on the border with the Territoire de Belfort . The Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park begins just west of the municipal boundary. The municipality consists of the settlements Mortzwiller and Soppe-le-Haut.
Neighboring municipalities are Sentheim in the north, Guewenheim in the northeast, Soppe-le-Bas in the east and southeast, Bretten im and Eteimbes in the south, Lachapelle-sous-Rougemont , Petitefontaine and Leval (all three in the Territoire de Belfort) in the west and Masevaux- Niederbruck and Lauw in the northwest.
