Subligny is a French municipality with 341 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bourges and the Canton of Sancerre (until 2015: Canton of Vailly-sur-Sauldre ). The inhabitants are called Subligniens .

Subligny is located about 45 kilometers north-northeast of Bourges on the Salereine River . Subligny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Assigny in the north, Savigny-en-Sancerre in the northeast, Sainte-Gemme-en-Sancerrois in the east, Sury-en-Vaux in the east and southeast, Menetou-Râtel in the south and Jars in the west.
