William K. Fuller

William Kendall Fuller (born November 24, 1792 in Schenectady , New York , † November 11, 1883 ibid) was an American lawyer and politician . Between 1833 and 1837 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

William Kendall Fuller was born in Schenectady County about nine years after the Revolutionary War ended . He attended community schools. In 1810 he graduated from Union College . He studied law . After receiving his license to practice law in 1814, he began practicing in Schenectady. Between 1821 and 1829 he was a district attorney in Madison County . During this time he held the post of Adjutant General ( Adjutant General ) of New York in 1823 . He was a member of the New York State Assembly in 1829 and 1830 . Politically, he belonged to the Jacksonian faction.

In the 1832 congressional elections for the 23rd Congress , Fuller was elected to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , in the 23rd  constituency of New York , where he succeeded Freeborn G. Jewett on March 4, 1833 . He was re-elected once and then dropped out after the March 3, 1837 Congress of.

After his time at Congress he went back to his practice as a lawyer. He died on November 11, 1883 in Schenectady and was then buried in Vale Cemetery .
