Bruce F. Caputo

Bruce Faulkner Caputo (born August 7, 1943 in New York City ) is an American politician . Between 1977 and 1979 he represented New York State in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Bruce Faulkner Caputo graduated from Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts in 1961 . In 1965 he made his Bachelor of Arts and 1967 his Master of Business Administration at Harvard University . He then worked in the Ministry of Defense between 1967 and 1969 . He then went to Georgetown Law School in Washington, DC , which he left in 1971 with a Juris Doctor . Between 1973 and 1976 he was a member of the New York State Assembly . Politically, he belonged to the Republican Party .

In the 1976 congressional elections for the 95th Congress , Caputo was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington DC in the 23rd  constituency of New York, where he succeeded Peter A. Peyser on January 4, 1977 . Since he on a run again in 1978 renounced, he left the after January 3, 1979 Congress of. During his time in Congress in 1978, he ran unsuccessfully for the nomination for the office of Lieutenant Governor of New York.

After his time in Congress, he resumed his practice as a lawyer in New York City. He currently lives in Bronxville .
