Chorey-les-Beaune is a French commune with 633 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and an area of 5.6 km². It is located in the northern part of the Côte de Beaune , about five kilometers from Beaune east of the RN 74 at an altitude between 199 and 245 m above sea level and belongs to the Côte-d'Or department . Chorey-les-Beaune is well known for its wines . In 1995 the municipality of Chorey added -les-Beaune to the name .

Viticulture in Chorey-les-Beaune
The municipality with the appellation of the same name has 134 hectares of cultivation area, which borders the Aloxe-Corton appellation in the north . Red wines are almost exclusively made from Pinot noir , enriched with Pinot Liébault and Pinot gris . Some of the wines are sold under the Côte de Beaune-Villages appellation , while others are also sold under the Chorey-les-Beaune Côte de Beaune appellation . Grands Crus or Premiers Crus are not produced here.
