Nantoux is a French municipality with 167 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Côte-d'Or department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Burgundy ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Beaune and the municipality association Agglomération Beaune Côte et Sud, founded in 2006 .

Nantoux is located in the south of the Côte-d'Or department in the midst of the Côte-d'Or mountains , seven kilometers west of Beaune and about 40 kilometers south-southwest of Dijon . The 6.58 km² municipal area is characterized by the Ruisseau de la Combe / Ruisseau de dessous la Velle brook, which runs in a north-south direction, and which has partially cut into the area over 100 m deep. The stream flows over the Avant-Dheune to the Dheune . The steep slopes are partly wooded and partly planted with vines. While the village of Nantoux lies in the valley at 298 m above sea level, the high plateaus rise to heights of over 400 m above sea level. The highest point is the Montforand in the north of the municipality at 466 m . Nantoux is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Bouze-lès-Beaune in the northeast, Pommard in the east and southeast, Volnay in the south, Meloisey in the west and Mavilly-Mandelot in the northwest.

Economy and Infrastructure
In Nantoux there are seven farms (cultivation of grain, pulses and oilseeds, goat and sheep breeding) and eleven winemakers. The vines are part of the Burgundy wine-growing region . The winemakers in the municipality of Nantoux are allowed to market their wines as Crémant de Bourgogne , Bourgogne Aligoté , Bourgogne Passetoutgrain and Bourgogne Grand Ordinaire .
Two roads lead from Nantoux to the city of Beaune , seven kilometers away , which forms a supraregional transport hub with connections to the Autoroute A 6 , the Autoroute A 31 and the Autoroute A 36 as well as a train station on the Paris – Marseille railway line .
