Aloxe-Corton

Aloxe-Corton (/ alɔs.kɔʁtɔ /) is a French commune in the department of Côte-d'Or region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The community has 134 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), is located at an altitude of 248 meters above sea level and has an area of ​​263 hectares.

Aloxe-Corton is four kilometers north of Beaune and 30 kilometers south of Dijon . The municipality borders on Chorey-les-Beaune and Savigny-lès-Beaune to the south and Ladoix-Serrigny to the northeast . Aloxe-Corton is part of the Côte de Beaune . The inhabitants are called Aloxois . In 1862 the community of Aloxe added the name of the top vineyard Corton to the community name .

There are 30 farms in the community (25 winegrowers in the Aloxe-Corton wine-growing region and grain cultivation).

The D 974 from Dijon to Beaune runs through the municipality of Aloxe-Corton . The close proximity to two motorway triangles enables a good connection to the national transport network (motorways A 6 , A 31 and A 36 ). The train station in Corgoloin, four and a half kilometers from Aloxe-Corton, is on the Paris-Marseille railway line .
