Brazey-en-Plaine is a French commune with 2,379 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Côte-d'Or in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Beaune and the canton of Brazey-en-Plaine (until 2015: canton of Saint-Jean-de-Losne ).

Brazey-en-Plaine is located about 25 kilometers south-southeast of Dijon on the Biètre River . The Canal de Bourgogne runs through the municipality and the Vouge River borders the municipality to the west . Brazey-en-Plaine is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Échigey and Tart-le-Haut in the north, Tart-l'Abbaye in the northeast, Montot in the east and northeast, Saint-Usage in the southeast, Esbarres in the south, Magny-lès-Aubigny in the Southwest, Aubigny-en-Plaine in the west and Bessey-lès-Cîteaux and Aiserey in the northwest.
