Saint-Usage is located about 35 kilometers south-southeast of Dijon . The Canal de Bourgogne runs through the municipality and the Saône borders the municipality in the south . Saint-Usage is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brazey-en-Plaine in the north and north-west, Montot in the north, Trouhans in the north-east, Échenon in the east, Saint-Symphorien-sur-Saône in the south-east, Saint-Jean-de-Losne and Losne in the South, Pagny-le-Château in the south-west and Esbarres in the west and south-west.
