The municipality is located around 60 kilometers west of Dijon on the edge of the Morvan Regional Nature Park . Neighboring municipalities are Thoisy-la-Berchère in the northeast, Sussey in the east, Censerey in the southeast, Brazey-en-Morvan in the south, Blanot in the southwest, Saint-Martin-de-la-Mer in the west and Saulieu in the northwest.
