Auxey-Duresses is a French municipality with 304 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) and an area of 11.09 square kilometers in the department of Côte-d'Or in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It is located in the southern part of the Côte de Beaune , west of Meursault, about eight kilometers from Beaune , at an altitude between 245 and 482 m above sea level. Auxey-Duresses is very well known among experts for its wines .

Viticulture in Auxey-Duresses
The municipality with the appellation of the same name in the vicinity of Meursault and Monthelie has 135 hectares of cultivated area. About 65% of the wine produced is red wine , almost exclusively from Pinot noir , but with the addition of Pinot Liébault and Pinot gris . A small part of the red wine is also sold under the Auxey-Duresses-Côte de Beaune appellation . The other 35% is made up of white wine , made from Chardonnay with the addition of Pinot Blanc . Nine Premiers Crus are produced on 32 hectares of vineyards, the most important of which are Les Bréterins , Climat du Val , Les Duresses , Les Ecusseaux and Reugne .

- Château de Digoine: The building with the tower dates from the 15th and 19th centuries and is surrounded by a park.
- Château de Melin: The building with four towers and a chapel was built in the 16th century.
- Moulin-aux-Moines: partly medieval buildings with cellars from the 10th and 12th centuries; old water mill; 17th century pigeon house; House of Crossbowmen ; 18th century oven covered with lava.
