geography

The municipality is located around 50 kilometers southwest of Dijon on the upper reaches of the Arroux River . Neighboring communities are Mimeure in the north, Foissy in the east, Saint-Prix-lès-Arnay in the south-east, Magnien in the south-west and Jouey in the west. A few kilometers northeast of Arnay-le-Duc the river basins of Loire , Seine and Rhone border each other.
